The story behind Roots of Hope Foundation Uganda

Kimera Paddy serving the community

A Son Who Returned Home

Roots of Hope Foundation Uganda was born from a personal journey of struggle, transformation, and faith.

Kimera Paddy grew up in Nakabazi–Ruwaama Village, Rakai District — a place where many children grow up facing poverty, hunger, and limited opportunities.

As a young man, he left for Kampala searching for a different future. The journey was not easy. He experienced hardship and uncertainty, but God opened doors through people who chose to believe in him.

Through the kindness of organizations and friends including Engage Hope Ministries, Embrace It Africa, Literacy of Love, Mom Jana, and Rich, he received support, education, and encouragement.

But education did not make him forget his village. It gave him a responsibility.

He returned home not to escape his past, but to help transform it.

This Is More Than Mud And Sticks

The first seed of hope planted in Nakabazi

A Classroom Built With Bare Hands And Faith

When Roots of Hope Foundation Uganda began, there were no large buildings, no big offices, and no wealthy resources.

There was only a dream. A dream that children in Nakabazi should have somewhere to learn, grow, and believe in tomorrow.

Through determination, community effort, and faith, the first small mud-walled classroom was built.

To many people it may look simple. But to children who had little access to education, it represents possibility. It represents hope.

Today, this humble beginning has become a vision: A permanent village school where children can learn in a safe and dignified environment.

A Forgotten Village With A Future

Nakabazi–Ruwaama Village is not defined by what it lacks. It is a community filled with children, families, dreams, and potential. With partnership, prayer, and compassion, this village can become a place where hope grows for generations.

What We Do

Serving children and families through love, faith, education, and practical support.

Children learning in Uganda

Education Support

We believe education is one of the strongest foundations for breaking cycles of poverty. We support children with learning materials, school supplies, encouragement, and the dream of building a permanent village school.

Children receiving shoes

Shoes, Sandals & Clothing

For many children in Nakabazi, owning a pair of shoes is not ordinary. A simple pair of sandals can mean dignity, protection, and confidence. We welcome donations of shoes, clothes, school bags, and essential items.

Community water source Uganda

Clean Water Project

Many families currently depend on unsafe water sources, including roadside ponds and open water areas. Our dream is to bring clean and safe water through community boreholes. Water means health. Water means dignity. Water means life.

Christian mission outreach Uganda

Faith & Gospel Outreach

Our mission is not only physical transformation. We believe true hope comes through the love of Jesus Christ. We welcome churches, missionaries, and believers who desire to serve, plant churches, and share God's love.

The Needs Of Our Community

Small acts of love can create generations of transformation.

🏫 A Permanent School Building

The first mud classroom was a miracle of faith. Now we dream of safe, permanent classrooms where children can learn with dignity.

💧 Clean Water Through Boreholes

Children and families should not have to depend on unsafe water. A borehole would provide clean water, better health, and renewed hope.

👟 Shoes, Clothes & Basic Needs

Many children walk barefoot over long distances. Donated shoes, sandals, clothing, and supplies can restore dignity and bring smiles.

✝️ Church Planting & Mission Outreach

We pray for partnerships with churches and mission teams who can stand with the village, share the Gospel, encourage families, and help restore hope.

Our Vision For Nakabazi

Our vision is to see Nakabazi–Ruwaama Village transformed into a community filled with hope, education, clean water, dignity, and the love of Christ.

We believe a small beginning can become a great testimony. A mud classroom can become a school. A prayer can become a mission. A helping hand can change generations.

A Simple Invitation

Roots of Hope Foundation Uganda is not a large organization with big offices. We are a grassroots community initiative built from a personal story, faith, sacrifice, and love for children.

We do not have everything figured out yet. But we have a vision. We have a community. We have children who deserve opportunities. And we believe God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things.

Maybe your church can pray with us. Maybe your family can visit. Maybe your organization can partner. Maybe you have shoes sitting unused. Maybe you are the answer to a prayer from Nakabazi.

Our Commitment To Transparency

Growing with honesty, accountability, and trust.

Roots of Hope Foundation Uganda is a grassroots community initiative that is growing step by step. We do not pretend to be something we are not. We started with a small vision, a mud classroom, and a desire to serve children who are often forgotten.

As we grow, we are committed to building systems that promote honesty, responsibility, and clear communication with everyone who walks with us.

We believe trust is not built by words alone. Trust is built through relationships, showing the work, sharing progress, and honoring every gift entrusted to us.

Every supporter becomes part of this journey. We welcome questions, visits, partnerships, and accountability.
